| | | Welcome to the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary Station 29, a member Station of the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary Pacific. | | The Mission of Coast Guard Auxiliary Station 29, Ladysmith is to provide 24-hour year-round volunteer marine search and rescue services on the Ladysmith waterfront and beyond to help prevent the loss of life or injury. | Our Station: - Maintains a 24 hour a day, 365 days per year search and rescue readiness along the Ladysmith waterfront, and nearby municipalities.
- Responds to an average 70 calls per year.
- Promotes boating safety, including programs designed to increase water safety awareness among children.
- Recruits volunteer search and rescue crews.
- Provides ongoing training to volunteers in search and rescue techniques, navigation safety, seamanship, communications, and first aid.
