Welcome to the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary Station 29, a member Station of the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary Pacific.
The Mission of Coast Guard Auxiliary Station 29, Ladysmith is to provide 24-hour year-round volunteer marine search and rescue services on the Ladysmith waterfront and beyond to help prevent the loss of life or injury.
Our Station:
  • Maintains a 24 hour a day, 365 days per year search and rescue readiness along the Ladysmith waterfront, and nearby municipalities.
  • Responds to an average 70 calls per year.
  • Promotes boating safety, including programs designed to increase water safety awareness among children.
  • Recruits volunteer search and rescue crews.
  • Provides ongoing training to volunteers in search and rescue techniques, navigation safety, seamanship, communications, and first aid.
Administrative and fundraising support for Station 29 is provided by the Ladysmith Marine Rescue Society.
